We chose to tour around the city instead of doing shopping at the factory outlet.

We're so not into shopping, unlike the nbs girls.

What's best is that the CAT bus is a free bus service!

So, we roamed round the city on it.

The ride was so comfortable that I fell asleep for a short while. haha!

We dropped off at some random spot to change to another CAT bus.

We took the bus to King's park.
It was pretty cold.
BUT, the walk up was damn long and tiring that I got damn warm.

p.s. I did the post on friday but I went to check my results at midnight. I felt neither happy nor disappointed. haha! Think I'm immune to the same kind of results I obtain all these sem. I think the only way I can be a perfect student is to be one in US! haha!

We reached at about 12mn.

To save on hotel, we slept over in the airport.

I slept over at Atlanta airport before!

But I didn't quite sleep.

But I really slept at Perth's airport.

Too tired.

They only wake up for about 20mins a day just to eat.

And, i think we can only stroke their bellies.

After the park, we went back to our home in Joondalup.

Slacker

I can't believe I'm super slack. Totally no sense of urgency. I felt so bored reading and reading and reading. So here I'm, chewing a piece of gum, with a cup of white coffee, blogging away. haha! Feels like the holiday now.
I went crazy just now. I blasted loud music on my little green sony mp3 and sang out loud. Damn shiok! haha! I love my music. Good way to de-stress!

Upset

Yes, I'm super upset about the pop media paper. I did study. But, I'm going to do so badly. Bloodly hell. My efforts are not justified! I swear the questions were way too hard. Seriously! My 1st page is gone. All wrong.
It's MCQ. But, there's a catch. There can be more than 1 correct ans. Damn. So, even if you chose 1 answer, it may still be wrong as there might be more. Now I need my core to pull up my GPA cos my bloody elective is going to pull everything down.

Finally!

I got my grade for forensic report! I got a B+!!!
okay. Some of you might be rolling your eyes thinking what so good about a B+.

1. Majeed said it was a good report on marital rape!!
2. My references were not good. Cos a lot from internet referencing.
But, there aren't many reports on marital rape! So, I take it that I should try harder.
3. I've never done so well on a report! (Other than my Georgia Tech S&P paper)

Haha! I'm so motivated to study hard for forensic!!!
p.s. Congrats to Steph, who did WAY better. haha! I'm sure she's going to do well during her attachment at home team!

Last class was forensic. And it was damn short. Like for half an hr.

Majeed handed us our report back. I was soooo scared.

But when I saw the paper, I was puzzled. It wasn't marked! haha!

It must be that bad that he refused to mark. haha!

I've been scared for nth. Which might be a blessing in disguise.

If I did badly, I'll be very affected, like adolescence paper last sem.

Hope he doesn't email me my grades soon!!!

I should have won "Name the turns" contest for F1!!! My suggested name was chosen and yet I'm not the winner. How unfair! I thought of the name "Singapore Sling" for Turn 10! And some guy also did that. Maybe he saw my email! How unfair!!!!!!! Maybe I was too late. I'm trying to justify that I would not have won anyway. But omg! I can't believe I missed out by just a bit. Grandstand tickets at Turn 10 and a walk-about ticket at the pit. I'm sure it's worth damn a lot.
I feel so bad! Jeff bought the tickets already. $998!!! He could have saved the money. Argh. How unfair. I kept dreaming about it! haha! In my dream, the guy who won actually volunteered to share the prize. haha! Dreams are always sweet. Unlike reality.
Never mind! I'm sure the guy deserved it. haha! Just trying to make myself feel better.

HOUSE!

I'm so addicted to the show HOUSE! I didn't not step out of the house ever since Sat. I'm not a TV addict to that extent. Just that I fell sick.
So my routine is: Wake up at 8am for med, go back to sleep till 1pm. Watch 2 episodes of HOUSE, then get back to sleep till dinner time. Watched 2 more episodes of HOUSE. Do a bit of work for forensic, then back to sleep. Seriously! haha. I completed 1.5 season within a few days. I love HOUSE that much! If only I had been watching that kind of show since young, I would have been a doctor!!!
I'm so dead for my work. But somehow, I can't be bothered. I think the fever I had must have messed up with my amygdala ( the part of the brain which controls emotion, which is fear in my case).

Final week of hell! Then, it's heaven.

HAHA! It's so not heaven after hell. It'll just be a different form ( exam preparation).
Next week is going to be like hell. haha! An essay and project presentation, both individual and both require hell lots of research.

One week of hell gone!

First week of hell month is over! yay. 2 presentations, 2 quizzes and 1 job interview.
Not all went well, obviously. haha! The most fun part of the week was the interview at BSU at home team academy. Steph and I signed up for the same internship program. I won't be going cos I've already accepted France summer program. I know I won't get the internship due to my poor GPA but it seemed really fun! If only I've studied harder. haha! Hope Steph gets it. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun in there.
After this week, there's still a lot to do! All individual stuff. Hope I do survive. But no matter what, I won't do silly things like the 2 NTU students. Quite sad to hear someone of my age (or around my age) doing such stuff. I'm sure studying is not everything! At least to me. Gosh. Hope itll never ever happen to me. haha!
So, if i'm really stress, i'll just take it easy!!!

Spring Break!

HAHA! It's not exactly spring break, like the one in US. Firstly, no roadtrip. Then, there are tons of work. This break is not so not fun. haha! It's more like a study week. Then again, no one in NTU calls it a Spring break, other than my ang moh lecturer.
I'm so super duper stress! March is the month of hell. LOTS of presentations, individual projects, essays to write, the usual quizzes and many many many more stuff going on. I'm gonna do my dental filling and bleaching of one black tooth and it's going to hurt like mad. And then I've got to settle my GSS stuff. I can't wait for APRIL!!! Yes, it may be exam month but I expect it to be much slacker than last sem cos my schedule is very very very spread out. I love it!!! Unlike last sem, I had 4 papers crammed into 4 days. It was a killer!!!
In the month of April, I'll be going to Perth!!!
Then, in the month of June, it'll be PARIS!!! omg. So exciting!!!
So much to look forward to! I swear to work damn hard for money when I'm back from holidaying! Throw me tuition jobs, or anything!

p.s. My friends are still reading my blog! haha! It's kind of boring now that I don't have anything interesting to "report". haha. Shall make full use of my canon IXUS and take more good pictures!

p.s.s I just made a mid term resolution list. haha! That includes not gorging on food. It's amazing how fast I eat. As usual, there're things like exercising at least 3times a week, study like mad everyday etc. haha! I feel that my life is getting more interesting!!!

Presentations!!!

Presentation went okay on tuesday! I was soooooo nervous. My mind went blank during the 1st slide. Luckily, I managed to recover and complete the presentation. Scary but fun experience! My groupmates were good!!! So thankful for them.
Another presentation coming up. Next friday. Then, another one the next next friday. And another one for another psy mod. I'm going to be immune to presentation, which is good! Hopefully at the end of this sem, I can speak with confidence!!!

Stuck!

Currently, I'm doing my group project. But we're stuck! We've no idea how to get data for coding. We're just thinking of lots of hypothesis but we can't fit coding into it.
Anyway, school is really stressful now! Esp tml when I'm the main speaker for presentation. I've lots of bad experiences with public speaking and I can't seem to overcome it. I rehearsed lots of time for tml! Hope things go well.
CNY is almost here! But I still can't enjoy. Can't wait!!! How I wish it's friday now!

School's kind of fun!

For the first time ever in NTU, I finally felt that I'm studying in a university.
The amount of workload is mountainous! Scary. But, finally, it's not just those memorize and you can score kind of modules. I like forensic psy and bio in pop media. It's so CSI!
Oh, but I learnt from bio in pop media that CSI is not always right. So upsetting to hear cos CSI is the coolest TV show ever! Everyone in there is just so smart. Perhaps we only watched the first season and maybe things kind of just started out. I'm giving CSI the benefit of doubt!
I'm so glad that I'm not doing any modules this sem alone. Even for crisis management! I saw Amanda! I'm looking forward to staying in Val's hall after that! yay!
So, I'm hoping school this sem is not as bad as last sem. EVEN though there're soooooo many projects.
Something interesting to note. All my psy prof are of diff race! There's catherine(chi) from HK, Owen (ang moh) from USA and majeet (indian) SINGAPORE! Just smt interesting. haha!
CNY next week. Shopping, not done. Can't really be bothered. What matters is the goodies!!!

Just 1 word to sum up 2008. EXCITING!!!! i swear the first half of 2008 had been the most exciting and interesting time of my life. Guess cos of US!!! My first time travelling so far, first time doing soooooooo many things. I hope my life will be more exciting!
I do look forward to 2009, after a horrible sem at NTU when i came back. There's forensic psy, pop media with Sam and Val and best, CNY!!!!! yay!!!
I'll make my life more meaningful and exciting!!! haha!

It was great meeting people I haven't met ever since the collection of A level results. Many are doing well now! Esp Abi! A soon to be doctor! The next meeting should be during Anisah's wedding! I can't wait!!!

Yesterday was a mad rush of events! KTV with my cousins, Julaiha's bday party and my uncle's BBQ. All was damn fun! I love KTV esp! All the oldies. haha! I dreaded it at first, as I don't know the latest mandarin pop songs. But I was surprised there're so many old ones which I know! haha! And best is that my cousins made me totally at ease. Can't wait for another one!!!

This holiday has been fantastic!!! I love it!

Hari raya haji!

haha! It's so funny that everyone calls hari raya the "kill sheep" festival. Actually, I'm not too sure myself. Shall ask Siti or Julaiha when i see them on sat for Jul's bday party!!! yay! So fun!
Anyway, the week has been super fun! Went for Bolt premiere with my sis, met Val and the psycho girls!!! When girls meet, obviously, it's gossip time!!!
I'm so touched when Val treated me ice cream and the psycho girls treated me to sun with moon! Super ex! oh! They gave me a chocolate recipe book!!! And I tried the simplest one! haha! The easy chocolate cake. It tasted better than the one I made with the recipe from online! I baked for my aunt! She thought it's from 4leaves! haha! I'm that good! kidding. haha! At least it tasted good! This time, it's a Ghiradelli cum Nutella cum Disneyland coco powder cake! Seems delicious right?! hahaha! It's!!!
Then yesterday, my cousins and i went to some relative's place for buffet. It's super fun! We love at every little things! haha! I love them. I really hope to travel with them again!!! I don't mind China!
I can't wait for another week of fun!!!

Exams are finally over but I'm so not feeling good abt them. I know, FOR SURE, that I won't do well in any of them. This sem has got to be the worse ever.
The good thing is, it can't get any worse! So, I look forward to next sem!!! I'll be smarter in making choices.
Everything seems so bad ever since i'm back from US. I guess it's the transition period. It's like from heaven to hell. haha! At least I'm lucky enough to know how good life can get! Life was definitely beautiful in US. The grass is always greener on the other side!
p.s. How i wish my bday was when i was in US. i'm sure the psycho girls would have baked me a cake there! This yr's bday really sucks. I only got to ate my cake just only cos i was sick on my bday. How sian!!!!!!!!! I'm so going to make my bday right next yr!

Life after GT is hell in S'pore.

I'm so damn restless! That's the result of facing stats all day. I'm just staring and not doing anything! Feeling so lousy and down. All cos of sch work. I know I won't do well for adolescent paper. So upsetting. I totally focus on the wrong stuff. I didn't read about the theory and models as it's too complicated and boring. And it came out as the compulsory qn. Somebody just kill me!

Anyway, it's my birthday in a few days time. What's so happy about birthday?!!! Totally sucks for me. Cos of the bloody exams. It's always right smack in the middle of exams, ever since pri sch. So, I never get to enjoy. Except last yr! when i did a super belated party. It was more like a gathering of gd friends! I love it.

okay! Back to stats!!!!!!

I thought about my night safari job last time. Rmb that I got damn close to the lions! But I didn't think they were that scary, just smelly. haha! Imagine just being separated by a thin metal fence, I could have actually touched them!

Examsssss

I don't like taking exams in NTU. Back in GT, it's so much easier! Firstly, the weightage is just 30%! So it's a little slacker. And, there isn't so much to study. Learning was so much more fun! Maybe it's just me. I'm so stupid that I can't learn well when so much stuff is thrown at me.

okay. Enough of nonsense. Back to studying adolescents.
I don't see why adolescents create so much trouble for themselves. But then again, I was just as bad. haha! Depression, eating disorder, aggression... Maybe if I was in US during my adolescent phase, I would be taking drugs at the corner of north ave. haha!

ARGH!

I'm so stress now that I feel that I can just explode any moment. It sucks that everything is piling up! I thought I plan well for this semester. But no! NTU is so different from GT. Everything is so intensive! Extra classes, projects, presentations...
Less than 1 month till the end of agony. Okay. Things could have been worse. At least I know I'm not alone!
Just gotta work super hard for 1 month!

p.s. Even though I was super busy, I've been reading a book written by Kubler Ross. Psy ppl, sounds familiar? haha! It's a book about death and dying. The way she wrote about death is that it's something very pleasant. Weird right? I haven't read in depth yet but it got me really interested! So, death isn't that scary. But, I can't die now! Got so many unfinished business. haha! I still want to go back to GT for cheesecake ice cream with wheatables!!! And tin drum. AND how can I forget, my favourite lucky buddha!!! haha!

Avenue Q songs are very catchy! Nice and funny. I almost burst out laughing on the train today while listening to them. Damn funny! At home, I kept humming "it sucks to me be". It's one of their songs. I can relate to it! Not that my self esteem is low or what. But sometimes, life just sucks.

But then again, I always get damn enlighten in Sanjana's class. She was saying something like undergrads don't have work life balance. Students study hard, not smart. That's totally me. I can memorize things like mad and yet not understand a thing. I guess it's the most applicable to stats. Oh gosh. Gonna get my results back for the mid term soon. Then, I can really start singing out loud " IT SUCKS TO BE ME." haha!

Last fri was fun! Went to this Indian buffet place at riverwalk. The food wasn't that fantastic but the company was great! Poor Linjin. She hardly ate and yet must pay about $20. haha!

I love hearing Ameer's adventure! So cool that he's travelling almost every week! Think he's going Vietnam this week. Feels like us when we're in GT! Always going for roadtrips. haha!

I should stop saying this but i still miss GT life!!! It's the best time of my life!!! I love the freedom!!!

Anyway, school is rather depressing now. I hate the mad rush in NTU. It doesn't do good to learning! I like to take things slow and easy. How i miss classes from GT, especially from my fav prof! Bruce Walker!!!
