A very special month

Sept will be a very special month. Not cos of F1. Not cos of my dad's bday (that's special thou). But, 

I"M GOING VEGETARIAN!!! With my darling little sister. 

Well, she did a one month vegetarian diet with her friend. And yes, she succeeded. I was inspired by her, and her books. 

1. Eating animals, by Jonathan Safran Foer

2. Don't eat this book, by Morgan Spurlock

I feel so disturbed after reading the books. Can't be bothered to get the details. Gist is, animals we eat these days aren't treated properly, alive and dead.

Anyway, there's really no point in eating meat, since we can get the same nutritional value in plants. Even though meat tastes good, it's more of the texture than the flavor. I can do away with the texture. Vegetables and tofu taste pretty good too! 

So yup, for the month of Sept, I pledge to go vegetarian for every single meals. However, as I've 2 weddings, a birthday dinner and a high tea treat to go to, Saha and I have set 5 cheat meals for ourselves. Just 5. And I'll payback those 5. 

Can I do it? Seems tough if I've super carnivorous friends. And vegetarian food is so hard to be found in Singapore. But I must try! 

Counting down... 3 more days. I'm excited already! 

New beginning!!!

Yay I've bought myself a new laptop!!! It's super chio. HOT PINK. I know it's so not me. But it's too pretty to resist!

 

I wanted to get a simple silver one from Harvey Norman. But there was only 1 set left, in hot pink. I was so reluctant and had wanted to take the display set. However, when Raymond (the very nice salesman) brought THIS out, wow. It was LOVE at first sight. I'm a closet bimbo. I never knew.

 

So yay! The most expensive present to myself! It's AMAZING. I'm still figuring out windows 8 interface. It's so different. Takes some effort, but I love this laptop nonetheless! :)))
