I watched this documentary online through someone's facebook link. It's about how human brutally treat animals for food, clothes, research and entertainment. I'm not to advocate vegetarianism but at least be aware of animal cruelty. Like don't go for animal circus show, bull/cock fighting etc.
From the documentary:
1. In chinese farms, animals were skinned ALIVE. The animals as shown in the video were still blinking and breathing. (NOT to solely blame the chinese. the angmohs were more cruel. )
2. Veals (young cow) were not allowed to grow. They were only fed with liquid and had to stay in confined space for 4 mths before they were slaughtered.
3. Foie gras is made by force feeding goose (and i think duck) by inserting a long tube down their throats.
Many more facts are shown in the documentary. However, some are to be taken with a pinch of salt. I would think that animal research are more ethic nowadays. So are animal slaughtering. Then again, some videos are taken in 2002, which is considered quite recent.
I'm so confused now. haha! But, I'll try to go green (Eating more veg instead of meat!) Not quite practical though. The last time I went total veg for a week, I was diagnosed with Vitamin deficiency in B12. So, eat in moderation!!! Eat healthily, and save the world at the same time. Not too bad of a deal!
