Presentations!!!

Presentation went okay on tuesday! I was soooooo nervous. My mind went blank during the 1st slide. Luckily, I managed to recover and complete the presentation. Scary but fun experience! My groupmates were good!!! So thankful for them.
Another presentation coming up. Next friday. Then, another one the next next friday. And another one for another psy mod. I'm going to be immune to presentation, which is good! Hopefully at the end of this sem, I can speak with confidence!!!

Stuck!

Currently, I'm doing my group project. But we're stuck! We've no idea how to get data for coding. We're just thinking of lots of hypothesis but we can't fit coding into it.
Anyway, school is really stressful now! Esp tml when I'm the main speaker for presentation. I've lots of bad experiences with public speaking and I can't seem to overcome it. I rehearsed lots of time for tml! Hope things go well.
CNY is almost here! But I still can't enjoy. Can't wait!!! How I wish it's friday now!

School's kind of fun!

For the first time ever in NTU, I finally felt that I'm studying in a university.
The amount of workload is mountainous! Scary. But, finally, it's not just those memorize and you can score kind of modules. I like forensic psy and bio in pop media. It's so CSI!
Oh, but I learnt from bio in pop media that CSI is not always right. So upsetting to hear cos CSI is the coolest TV show ever! Everyone in there is just so smart. Perhaps we only watched the first season and maybe things kind of just started out. I'm giving CSI the benefit of doubt!
I'm so glad that I'm not doing any modules this sem alone. Even for crisis management! I saw Amanda! I'm looking forward to staying in Val's hall after that! yay!
So, I'm hoping school this sem is not as bad as last sem. EVEN though there're soooooo many projects.
Something interesting to note. All my psy prof are of diff race! There's catherine(chi) from HK, Owen (ang moh) from USA and majeet (indian) SINGAPORE! Just smt interesting. haha!
CNY next week. Shopping, not done. Can't really be bothered. What matters is the goodies!!!

Just 1 word to sum up 2008. EXCITING!!!! i swear the first half of 2008 had been the most exciting and interesting time of my life. Guess cos of US!!! My first time travelling so far, first time doing soooooooo many things. I hope my life will be more exciting!
I do look forward to 2009, after a horrible sem at NTU when i came back. There's forensic psy, pop media with Sam and Val and best, CNY!!!!! yay!!!
I'll make my life more meaningful and exciting!!! haha!

More fun!!!

A blurry pic of my class gathering! haha! The gathering wasn't that bad even though less than half the class turned up. It was great meeting people I haven't met ever since the collection of A level results. Many are doing well now! Esp Abi! A soon to be doctor! The next meeting should be during Anisah's wedding! I can't wait!!!

Yesterday was a mad rush of events! KTV with my cousins, Julaiha's bday party and my uncle's BBQ. All was damn fun! I love KTV esp! All the oldies. haha! I dreaded it at first, as I don't know the latest mandarin pop songs. But I was surprised there're so many old ones which I know! haha! And best is that my cousins made me totally at ease. Can't wait for another one!!!

This holiday has been fantastic!!! I love it!

Hari raya haji!

haha! It's so funny that everyone calls hari raya the "kill sheep" festival. Actually, I'm not too sure myself. Shall ask Siti or Julaiha when i see them on sat for Jul's bday party!!! yay! So fun!
Anyway, the week has been super fun! Went for Bolt premiere with my sis, met Val and the psycho girls!!! When girls meet, obviously, it's gossip time!!!
I'm so touched when Val treated me ice cream and the psycho girls treated me to sun with moon! Super ex! oh! They gave me a chocolate recipe book!!! And I tried the simplest one! haha! The easy chocolate cake. It tasted better than the one I made with the recipe from online! I baked for my aunt! She thought it's from 4leaves! haha! I'm that good! kidding. haha! At least it tasted good! This time, it's a Ghiradelli cum Nutella cum Disneyland coco powder cake! Seems delicious right?! hahaha! It's!!!
Then yesterday, my cousins and i went to some relative's place for buffet. It's super fun! We love at every little things! haha! I love them. I really hope to travel with them again!!! I don't mind China!
I can't wait for another week of fun!!!

p.s. I'm so happy I found a long lost friend on facebook! haha! Haven't met her for ages!!! Maybe ever since the collection of O level results. 5 years!!! omg. haha!

So happy! The outing went super great!!! 17 people went! yay! Great turnout. The best is, Ameer enjoyed himself so much! That's the main thing. haha!

So! While some people are still stuck in hall studying for exams, I've been playing all the time! I'm loving it! haha! The psy girls celebrated Sirong's 21st birthday!!! With a little surprise from me!!! Can't believe I'm so sweet. haha! Don't laugh at me for saying that. I'm almost never sweet. The cake I baked!!!

Exams are finally over but I'm so not feeling good abt them. I know, FOR SURE, that I won't do well in any of them. This sem has got to be the worse ever.
The good thing is, it can't get any worse! So, I look forward to next sem!!! I'll be smarter in making choices.
Everything seems so bad ever since i'm back from US. I guess it's the transition period. It's like from heaven to hell. haha! At least I'm lucky enough to know how good life can get! Life was definitely beautiful in US. The grass is always greener on the other side!
p.s. How i wish my bday was when i was in US. i'm sure the psycho girls would have baked me a cake there! This yr's bday really sucks. I only got to ate my cake just only cos i was sick on my bday. How sian!!!!!!!!! I'm so going to make my bday right next yr!

So thankful to have u as a friend!!! Had a really random thought just now. U're the very first friend in made in Uni! I was so excited when u called me right after FOC to ask abt some subj stuff. haha! So freaky right?!

It was so fun to have u in hall! I actually missed snacking like mad. And all the night walks!!! And always going to the 4th level. haha!!!

Life after GT is hell in S'pore.

I'm so damn restless! That's the result of facing stats all day. I'm just staring and not doing anything! Feeling so lousy and down. All cos of sch work. I know I won't do well for adolescent paper. So upsetting. I totally focus on the wrong stuff. I didn't read about the theory and models as it's too complicated and boring. And it came out as the compulsory qn. Somebody just kill me!

Anyway, it's my birthday in a few days time. What's so happy about birthday?!!! Totally sucks for me. Cos of the bloody exams. It's always right smack in the middle of exams, ever since pri sch. So, I never get to enjoy. Except last yr! when i did a super belated party. It was more like a gathering of gd friends! I love it.

okay! Back to stats!!!!!!

p.s. A keeper got killed by 3 white tigers! So freaky and painful!
I thought about my night safari job last time. Rmb that I got damn close to the lions! But I didn't think they were that scary, just smelly. haha! Imagine just being separated by a thin metal fence, I could have actually touched them!

Examsssss

I don't like taking exams in NTU. Back in GT, it's so much easier! Firstly, the weightage is just 30%! So it's a little slacker. And, there isn't so much to study. Learning was so much more fun! Maybe it's just me. I'm so stupid that I can't learn well when so much stuff is thrown at me.

okay. Enough of nonsense. Back to studying adolescents.
I don't see why adolescents create so much trouble for themselves. But then again, I was just as bad. haha! Depression, eating disorder, aggression... Maybe if I was in US during my adolescent phase, I would be taking drugs at the corner of north ave. haha!

ARGH!

I'm so stress now that I feel that I can just explode any moment. It sucks that everything is piling up! I thought I plan well for this semester. But no! NTU is so different from GT. Everything is so intensive! Extra classes, projects, presentations...
Less than 1 month till the end of agony. Okay. Things could have been worse. At least I know I'm not alone!
Just gotta work super hard for 1 month!

p.s. Even though I was super busy, I've been reading a book written by Kubler Ross. Psy ppl, sounds familiar? haha! It's a book about death and dying. The way she wrote about death is that it's something very pleasant. Weird right? I haven't read in depth yet but it got me really interested! So, death isn't that scary. But, I can't die now! Got so many unfinished business. haha! I still want to go back to GT for cheesecake ice cream with wheatables!!! And tin drum. AND how can I forget, my favourite lucky buddha!!! haha!

Avenue Q songs are very catchy! Nice and funny. I almost burst out laughing on the train today while listening to them. Damn funny! At home, I kept humming "it sucks to me be". It's one of their songs. I can relate to it! Not that my self esteem is low or what. But sometimes, life just sucks.

But then again, I always get damn enlighten in Sanjana's class. She was saying something like undergrads don't have work life balance. Students study hard, not smart. That's totally me. I can memorize things like mad and yet not understand a thing. I guess it's the most applicable to stats. Oh gosh. Gonna get my results back for the mid term soon. Then, I can really start singing out loud " IT SUCKS TO BE ME." haha!

Last fri was fun! Went to this Indian buffet place at riverwalk. The food wasn't that fantastic but the company was great! Poor Linjin. She hardly ate and yet must pay about $20. haha!

I love hearing Ameer's adventure! So cool that he's travelling almost every week! Think he's going Vietnam this week. Feels like us when we're in GT! Always going for roadtrips. haha!

I should stop saying this but i still miss GT life!!! It's the best time of my life!!! I love the freedom!!!

Anyway, school is rather depressing now. I hate the mad rush in NTU. It doesn't do good to learning! I like to take things slow and easy. How i miss classes from GT, especially from my fav prof! Bruce Walker!!!

A good one!

I'm so damn lucky! I pass my driving! Almost impossible. Best is I pass with only 6 points off! What has the world become?! hahaha!
Guess I was very calm. Surprisingly. I would be very nervous during practices. But it's so weird that I didn't even feel scared. I even dare to talk it out with the tester. I wouldn't use argue. I was just making my point when he kept saying my car was slanted. I insisted that it's okay. But then, he's right. haha! My car indeed was slanted when he told me to pop my head out to check. He's kind of fierce and grumpy.
And so I thought, that's it! I failed in my first task of parallel parking. To make things worse, I kept glancing over to his laptop. I thought I saw 14 demerit points. I was kind of pissed with myself. And so, I was like, heck. Nothing to be scared of since I failed.
When everything came to an end, I was about to message my sis saying that I failed. The tester asked if I've a photograph. Woah. It was unbelievable!!! haha!
What an exciting experience! Those who drive, see you on the road!!! For those who don't, look out for me!

Mid autumn festival that doesn't feel like it

Mid autumn festival this year was bad. Apart from the boxes load of mooncake, I couldn't feel the festive mood. Think cos it's on a sunday and everyone was busy. My dad had like 2 wedding events to attend. The others were busy with their own random stuff.
I miss those times when my cousins would come to my place to celebrate. We carry lanterns, then burn them to create a bonfire! Then, we would feast on mooncakes, pomelo, yam, and many other snacks.
I hope it's just this year that's different. I don't want the tradition to die away!!!
Anyway, even though I ate lots of mooncakes, the best is not from Goodwood park, or Shangri-la, or those expensive classy mooncakes. The best is made by Samuel!!! I swear it's the best! With lots of nuts and yolk! Seriously, he's the best guy cook ever. haha! He should and think he'll be a chef. He mentioned that he wants to open a restaurant. Can't remember who but someone volunteered to be an accountant. Another wants to help out in the running of business. As for me, I just want to be a waitress! haha! How ambitious!
Recess week in a few days. yay! Finally a break before going crazy again. haha!

Random!

Life has been great! Not as exciting but it's fine. I kind of like some of my classes. Esp the psy class. I don't have any close friends with me in that class but I like the tutor! Don't rmb her name. Some Indian tutor. It always feels like I'm going for some motivation talk. haha! Always feel very inspired by her. She's super lame but I like it! She should be the lecture instead of the boring lecturer.
Anyway, just something random. Shuling! I miss u! Faster come back from Aus! Even though it's highly unlikely. I'm gonna fly there someday!!! haha!

My sis just made me this warm cup of herbal tea for my sore throat. So touched. Reminds me of the time when JX made me honey lemon when I was sick. haha! JX seems like my elder sis, even though she's so much younger.
Know I've been repeating many times but I miss GT life!!!
And I think I look much prettier then. I look like a boy now. An ugly one. ha!
