Sweet Home Alabama! Brimingham.

It's uber cold today! -2degrees. And it snowed last night. Damn! I slept too early.

Anyway, we went Brimingham on Sunday. Museum was fun! (seriously) Leaned more abt the Civil Rights. Too bad we had to rush through for the sloss furnace, which was damn boring. The whole row for girls, except Steph, fell asleep during the video! haha! So embarrassing. The view was nice thou.

Emm, JX and I. At Mr Chris McNair's photography studio. His daughter was killed in a bombing incident of the church. There was a memorial room for her, filled with her photos. Quite sad.

The other daughter of Mr McNair prepared lunch! Damn nice! BBQ chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and peach dessert. Wow. It's amazing how well I can rmb. ha!

On a really random note, I had a nightmare last night, that I was back in S'pore. OH MAN. I DUN WANNA GO BACK!!!

Okay. Back to studying! haha. The IH guys alr buay tahan me for always studying in the lib. ha! But they don't know that I stone half the time I'm in the lib, admiring the scenary. haha!

Another nice wkend!

It's so nice and warm to stay indoor when it's raning super heavily outside. But I like to walk in the rain! Esp jumping into puddles, splashing water everywhere. Fun! Nice walk back from IH to home.

Know I've said it a million times but I don't wanna go home. ha! It's depressing to hear JX talking abt departure date back to S'pore. I love it here so much! Clement and Shu hui was asking why I bother studying so hard here. I didn't even study as hard back in NTU. Here, I'll try to go to the lib at least once a wk! (To study and watch sunset. ha!) Know it's kinda lame but think it's the weather. haha! It makes everything so pleasant. Everyday is a happy day here!!! Can't believe I'm here for close to 2 months alr. It feels like I've been here forever. And I don't mind being here forever. haha!

Enough of emo stuff. It had been a super fun wk! Went to Nashville during the wkend. Nice place, even thou Helen is still the best. ha! We went to Jack Daniel's distillery, Parthenon, and I can't rmb where. The place is huge on country music. So Elvis Presley. Enjoyed myself loads!

Then we celebrated Jeff's bday on mon. Everything was pretty much low key, as compared to Emm's and Samuel's birthday. But guess he liked it that way. Glad he likes the presents!

oh!!! There was a lunar eclipse yesterday! So damn interesting. We were standing outside, freezing in the cold just to watch the moon. Lunar eclipse happens when the earth, moon and sun are aligned. The earth's shadow would be cast on the moon, covering the moon. At one point in time, the moon turned red! Interesting!!! I'll google more to find out why. I wanna watch more! The next one will only occur in 2010. And I want to watch a solar eclipse! The next one is in August! So damn cool!!! Too bad I won't be here anymore.

p.s. My gong zhu! Take care of ur ankle! Why are u following my footstep?! haha. Exactly everything. Studying in YJ, working in night safari, spraining of ankle, ETC. haha! U might even come to Atlanta GT to study! hahaha!

Valentine's day present from the psycho girls!!! It's a fortune cookie journal! They know how much I like fortune cookies! And that I paste my fortune up onto the wardrobe.

And there're presents from my valentine! haha. Rather tacky but it's damn sweet! hahaha!





Another REALLY happy news. I did well for my S&P paper!!!! Totally didn't expect it. Cos I started everything the night before. Like reading the research articles and stuff. I was damn close to dying. haha! Damn torturous to stay up all night to type an 8 pages report. But whatever! It's worth the effort!!!! I kinda swear never to do last min work. But somehow, it always happen.

Going on another roadtrip! To Nashville, a music city! Cool!!!

CNY & Birthday!

Steamboat dinner during 1st day of Chinese New Yr. I love it! It was made better by the herbs dad gave me. ha! I was promoting dad's shop. Must go!!!

Bak Kwa that Samuel made! Damn happy when I saw it cos I was whining for days that I wanna eat one. Samuel actually made. omg. haha! It's DAMN nice! I dare say it's much better than those sold outside.







Samuel's not so suprised birthday party! It's damn obvious that he kinda knew. The cake was made by Steph, JX and me! Need a lot of effort! Damn happy everyone (esp mingjian!) loves it. Can't wait to bake again!
It's worth the effort for Samuel. He's like the nicest guy here. And he can cook! ha!


Anyway, a lot more exams and assignments are coming up. Can't believe I'm actually studying harder over here. But I love it here!!! Oh! It's so damn nice to study in the lib! I went there alone ytd cos I wanna watch the sunset. I'm not being emo or what by going alone but cos the others thought it's pretty lame. I can just stare out of the window for hrs. Just that I won't be able to concentrate on my work. ha! Heck!

NBA game!

NBA game was awesome! The Hawks vs Lakers. Damn exciting!!! Steph and I were practically screaming all the time. I kinda supported the Lakers at first cos of Kobe Bryant. But then, The Hawks seemed to play better.

I loved the last quarter of the game. Lakers was actually leading. But The Hawks got better. So damn cool to watch them play. Their moves were so sleek. oh man. I wanna learn how to play too.

Crazy week!

Omg. It has been a killer week!!! Study can be damn bad for the health. Us psycho girls had been studying till super late into the night. Try not sleeping well for a week. Can't believe we're actually studying hard so early in the sem. But heck. Everything is over!!!

Felt damn happy and high this morn today!!! (and it was before biopsy test. weird. ha!) I kinda of just know that it'll be a gd day. Well, it's. sort of. Even though i suck at the test. ha!

Anyway, we went loca luna on friday night. I didn't want to go initially. We wanted to pop by IH to say hi to the guys and thats it. But, we stayed there till damn long and most of the eatery were closed by then.

We need our ID to enter cos it's a bar cum restaurant place. So, I had to get back home to get passports for the me and jx. Guess wat. Richard drove me! haha! I finally had the chance to sit in his 2 seater car!!! Damn shiok. He's like the friendliest ang moh! Not to say the cutest too! ha!

The food ain't too fantastic. The music ain't that nice. But I had lots of fun. We went crazy. haha! If only Steph went!!!

Anyway, I spent the wkends at Athens. It's a little town, 2hrs drive away from Atlanta. It's pretty much like another city. Helen is still the best cos of the scenary and culture. But I had fun!

Emmeline joined us instead of Vivien this time. I'm amazed by the amt of energy she always has! ha! So happy, enthu and vivacious. Gonna learn from her! I gotta to stop thinking abt sch work during a road trip. Can't believe I was actually worried abt work so early in the sch term. But I've to be worried, considering how much assignments and quizzes I've next wk. Gotta try do some more stuff before heading to the pathetic little cheena place later. haha!

oh! Just thought of smt. Americans are so friendly! A guy actually came forward to pay for our parking as we didn't know what to do with the meter. Before we could ask him how it worked, he dug out coins to demonstrate. He didn't even ask for his money back! And when we were lost for directions in a car, a lady in the car next to ours stop at the traffic light to help us. It was already green and we caused her to miss it twice. The cars behind didn't even horn! There're many more cases of nice ppl. Nice ppl brighten up my life! haha! So ppl, BE NICE.

Today was such a pleasant day! Nothing in particular happened but I felt so happy and relaxed. I'm being so random! ha! I'm just so happy to be here!!!

I love the weather, buildings, people (both americans and NTU ppl), etc. Best is that I'm here with 2 really gd friends. We weren't that close in NTU but here, we talk abt everything under the sun. Amazing right? So glad to have them.

And not forgetting my fab housemate!

The weekend.

The fried eggs I made for breakfast on Sat. It's horrible! My sunny side up became fully cooked yolk. But I'll learn to make the perfect egg. (the Samuel method. ha!)


It snowed again! This time, I was super excited when JX told me. Snowball fights are always fun!

Psycho us at some civil war memorial park. The museum was really BORING. haha! JX and I were laughing non-stop at Steph and Guo Xin who actually found it interesting. ha! They were reading every single bit of info from the start of the exhibits till the end!


Look at my hoodie. It's smeared with chocolate from the chocolate banana! I was so embarrassed. I wanted to hide from the rest but Samuel saw. It doesn't look that bad in the pic. But it's disgusting. Can't stand myself for being such a messy eater.

I love the weekend! We didn't do much as compared to last week but I like how slow things went. It's nice to be able to slow down our pace and enjoy each other's company.

oh! I forgot to mention factory outlet. omg. It's just like heaven. Everything there was so cheap! I bought like mad. But can't be compared to JX. haha! She bought 3 coach wallets, 3 pair of keds shoes ETC. I was rather mild. Just a few stuff from Guess, Adidas, Roxy and Aerostopole. So damn exciting to shop! I can't wait to go there again soon!

It snowed more in the evening! It's damn amazing cos based on what Kate (my housemate) said, it doesn't quite snow in Atlanta. It hasn't snowed since 2 yrs ago!
